The number of Civil Status Services available online extended from 8 to 21.

Today, November 17, the Civil Status Service in partnership with the e-Government Centre and the Ministry of Justice started the second stage of digitizing civil status acts, which constitutes the archive fund of the Civil Status Service.
Thus, it is planned to digitize other 9 million civil status documents during about 32 months, which, on the one hand will facilitate citizens’ access to quality public services and, on the other hand will enable a more efficient and sure data management, stimulating the development of new government electronic services.
At second stage of the project, the spectrum of services citizens will be able to require online will be extended by 13 more civil status acts, from 8 to 21.
The list of the 21 civil status services available online:
1. Issuing the duplicate of the civil status certificates
- issuing the duplicate of the birth certificate;
- issuing the duplicate of the marriage certificate;
- issuing the duplicate of the divorce certificate;
- issuing the duplicate of certificate of name and/or surname change;
- issuing the duplicate of death certificate;
- issuing the duplicate of adoption certificate;
- issuing the duplicate of certificate of establishment of paternity;
2. Issuing the extracts form civil status records
- issuing the extract from the birth certificate;
- issuing the extract from the marriage certificate;
- issuing the extract from the divorce certificate;
- issuing the extract from certificate of name and/or surname change;
- issuing the extract from death certificate;
- issuing the extract from adoption certificate;
- issuing the extract from certificate of establishment of paternity;
3. Issuing the certificate regarding the civil status
4. Certificate of Matrimonial Capacity
5. Issuing the notice that confirms or denies the name and / or surname changing;
6. The multilingual extracts issue from civil status records:
- Issuing the multilingual extract from the birth record;
- Issuing the multilingual extract from the marriage record;
- Issuing the multilingual extract from the death record.
7. Making duly modifications in the civil status act.
The digitization comprises scanning, introducing metadata, quality checking and transfer to MCloud – the government joint technological platform that ensures a high level of security and availability.
