Our priorities for 2021 [3]

The e-Governance Agency defined its priorities for 2021. The EGA action plan for the current year is ambitious and includes 9 objectives, based on 70 actions and over 100 monitoring indicators. The proposed actions are in line with the national and international commitments of the EGA and of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and aim at implementing the e-governance agenda.

One of the priority area on which the entire activity of the institution responsible for modernizing public services will be focused is the improvement of the digital governance legal framework: Digital Code, e-LPA, e-Archive, Regulation on the operation and use of the Government Delivery Service (MDelivery) etc.

Development, implementation and further improvement of shared information systems, including the launch of new products developed by EGA: Semantic Catalogue, MOperations, State Register of Public Services, further improvement of the Citizen’s and Entrepreneur’s Government Portal (MCabinet), MConnect, MPower, e-Learning, MPay remain the EGA's priorities for the next period.

Modernization of government services through reengineering and digitization of selected public services, the launch of Unified Service Provision Centres (CUPS) announced by the EGA at the end of last year, and systematic organization of specialized training courses on integration and operation in information systems for the provision and use of electronic services are key activities in the list of actions to be implemented throughout this year.

The institution will also focus its efforts on strengthening national and international partnerships with various specialized institutions interested in efficient and effective governance with a view of sharing and applying the best international practices. The integration of citizen-centred approaches and their socially inclusive involvement in the context of implementation of the MGSP (Modernization of Government Public Services Project) is a key principle that underlies the institutional policy promoted by EGA in all the actions planned by EGA for the current year, as well as for the future.

The cyber security audit, implementation of internal management control system and procurement transparency are other major commitments undertaken by the institution this year.

The e-Governance Agency’s Action Plan for 2021 was approved by the Council on 4 February 2021.
