In the Republic of Moldova, e-services are more and more accesed by people, particularly by young people, with a university degree. 49% of Moldovans are satisfied with the quality of public e-services. These results are shown by the report "Perception, assimilated and supported by the population of e-transformation of the Government", carried on during October - November 2012.

Accordinf to the research, almost half of the responders (48%) state that e-government will bring advantages for citizens. Almost 31% of respondents declared that they firmly support Government e-transformation in the R. of Moldova. Almost 57% of research participants in the study declare that they wish to use public e-services by a computer or mobile phone, and 60% would recommend others (relatives, friends, acquaintances) to use public services in electronic format.

Most of the citizens who access electronic public services are aged 18-35 years, hold management positions in public and private institutions, are specialists with a superior qualification level, administrative clerks and have wages over 3.000 Lei.

Most of the respondents which accesed e-services within the last 12 months, used the fiscal invoice checking service - service offered by the Primary State Fiscal Inspectorate. Almost 30% of respondents said they use this platform. The service for checking study documents, offered by the Ministry of Education, was accesed by 25% of questioned persons, and the personal data checking offered by State Enterprise "Registry" is used by 23% of respondents.

According to the research, "Perception, assimilated and supported by the population of e-transformation of the Government", 58% of respondents own at least one computer.

53% of domestic households have an Internet connection. Another 5% have computers, but do not own an Internet connection. The degree of household endowment with computer and internet connection depends on the age and respondent incomes.

The annual 2012 study "Perception, assimilated and supported by the population of e-transformation of the Government" was implemented by a consortium formed by Public Policies Institute and Magenta Consulting at e-Government Center's request.

The study was conducted on a sample of 3000 respondents and its purpose was to define the level of understanding, accepting and support by citizens of government e-transformation. The error margin is ± 1.7% at a trust level of 95%.
